Though reared in Galway, David was born in Ballygalda, Co. Roscommon. His repertoire consists mainly of comic songs, particularly those of Percy French.
Much of his influences came from years spent working in Galway’s traditional music pubs where he readily soaked up the tradition.
David also plays the mouth-organ and regularly attends sessions in Galway and all counties west of The Shannon.
